Experience and Achievements
As Co-Managing member of J & R Business Services, John employs critical applications of business strategy, structure and implementation for a company that is engaged in a variety of business, including but not limited to, product procurement services, distribution, construction related services, real estate acquisition and development, as well as business development consulting. With his proven background of over 25 years in business development initiatives, John is working to cultivate J&R into a highly sought after company within various business landscapes.
In addition to Co-Managing J & R, John also serves as President/CEO of Excenture Business Solutions, a NMSDC (Ohio) certified MBE firm that has a significant history of proven success and award winning services in the business development consulting and product procurement service industries.
Previously, John served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for one of the largest minority owned real estate and business development firms in the United States. There, he oversaw the national and international planning, structure, and implementation of the firm’s real estate and business development initiatives. This included strategic execution of stringent business applications for federal, state and local compliance, and engagement of significant diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Today, John is working to fortify J & R with a broadened scope of business activities and a strong client based alliance through long term relations with companies in real estate development, manufacturing, health care, higher education, as well as other business arenas.
John’s leadership abilities has lead to his companies being honored locally and nationally and widely recognized by business partners, community stakeholders and government officials for its focus on business development services, while enhancing cultural diversity and inclusion efforts through significant levels of supportive service outreach.
Community Service
In addition to his business endeavors John is active on the public speaking circuit, involved in various philanthropic and community initiatives, and serves on several boards of directors. He is also a charter member of the National Monuments Commission, which strongly advocated and sought funding for the construction of the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C.
Education
John graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, with a focus on community development services. During his time at Ohio State, John played football for the Buckeyes from 1982-1986, then he signed a multi year contract with the Dallas Cowboys in 1987. However, a series of knee injuries ended his football career shortly thereafter.

Three Leaf Productions (2003 to present)
CEO & President: Provides overall leadership, direction, motivation and vision for the company. Assist in growing the company through hiring, personal contacts, leads, sales, acquisitions and motivating the existing sales force. Oversees the day-to-day operations through a hands-on approach and supervises all officers and key personnel. Three Leaf Productions was recently recognized by the Diversity Business Council as one of the top minority owned businesses in Ohio and locally was listed as one of the top 50 fastest growing privately held companies in central Ohio by Business First Magazine for five consecutive years. In 2007 it was selected by The South Central Ohio Minority Business Council as the Class 2 Minority Business Enterprise of the Year. In 2010, Three Leaf Productions was the recipient of the Columbus Chamber Small Business Leader of the Year Award. It was selected by the Ohio Minority Development Council as the Class III Minority Business Enterprise of the Year in 2016 & 2020.

Radio Color Analyst for the Ohio State Men’s Basketball games and co-host of the Chris Holtmann weekly radio show. Over his broadcast career Ron has covered three Final Fours, one NIT championship and 8 NCAA regionals.
Dispatch Consumer Services (1988 to 2005)
Senior Account Executive: Responsible for managing, developing and execution of advertising campaigns for major corporations both regionally and nationally. Selected as Salesperson of the Year in 2001. Recognized as one of the top three in total sales dollars within the entire company in the last four years with the organization.
Ohio State Athletics
Member of the OSU Men’s Basketball Team from 1981-85, Team Captain junior and senior year. Earned All-Big Ten honors and was voted as the team’s MVP in 1985. Ranks in the top 35 in scoring and in the top 10 in assists and steals within The Ohio State’s basketball records.
